Vision & Mission

IDEA-Niger’s overall goal is to work for inclusive development for all, while respecting the human rights, dignity and social and economic integration of people affected by leprosy, including their families and communities.

Main activities

  • Awareness on: leprosy, Citizenship, hygiene and sanitation (WASH), mental health (mental hygiene) and inner well-being, human rights
  • Celebrating international days of people affected by leprosy and other disabled persons
  • Develop Radio messages about leprosy /disability
  • Production and distribution of leprosy information in several national languages (posters, leaflets)
  • Wheelchairs, tricycles, walking aids for physical rehabilitation
  • CBR training for volunteers for basic physical therapy at community level
  • Housing repair, Housing construction, adapted toilet for people affected by leprosy and or with other disabilities
  • Inclusive education support including teachers preparation and reduction of physical barriers
  • Literacy training
  • Take off grants for income generating activities for groups and for individual
  • Management training for incomes generating activities
  • Counseling
  • Training on advocacy
  • Training on gender and people with disabilities right
